I have no clue what I am waiting for but I haven't written nor have I wanted to sit down and work with the written word. Highly unusual for me and I decided in the night that I am awaiting some revelation about what comes next for me and my life. Now, those who know me, understand that I do not wait...I don't wait well at all. So, since last night, I have decided to take my life into my own hands and DO something. So, back writing which I will try to do faithfully every day or so despite the lack of travel.
Speaking of travel, our two day caravan from Ft. Myers to Florida went very well except for the "sitiation" as Heidi would call it which occured on 75 in Cincinnati. Chica, our very overweight chihuahua decided to move from the top of furniture riding behind me to the front seat next to Luna, who was lying on our doggie pillow in the front passenger seat next to me. Chica threw all 16 pounds of herself forward and landed on the gear shift and immediately commenced the loudest grinding noise ever. Unsure of what was going on, I tried to apply gas to the car, already moving at 75 miles per hour. NO gas, nothing. I quickly called Richard who was ahead of me somewhere in the traffic in the Nissan to let him know I had to pull over...not easy when one is mid-lane on a six lane highway. I pulled over and was hyperventilating...safely stopped. Whatever could be wrong? Yup, Chica landed on the gear shift lever and pushed me into neutral. Neutral means just that...cannot go faster. After my breathing evened out, I started out again wondering just what does slamming into neutral at 75 miles an hour do to one's engine? Not sure, but so far, so good.
